Konshens - Bring Back the Reggae

This tune is exactly what alot of people are saying about dancehall reggae nowadays. "Nowadays de tune dem a sound like nursery rhyme". In this tune, Konshens pays homage to the greats, including the recent greats like Vybz Kartel and Movado, and talks about how he misses the 90s reggae. There are two versions to this song (dancehall and hip hop). DJs, nice warmup tune for now. It is yet to be determined if it will blow up.

BRAND NEW...Kardinal Offishall - Clear Remix ft. Elephant Man

Brand new tune by Kardinal Offishall feat. Elephant Man. A Black Chiney production. I kinda like the tune. It's upbeat and full of energy. DJs, be the first to buss this in the club, it should perform well.

Laden - She Like It

This is one of my favorite tunes of the week. I know a week is a short time, but still, this tune is nice. I am beginning to be really impressed with Stephen "Di Genius" Mcgregor, who produced this track and the last two tracks I have posted. Anyway, take a listen, and tell me what you think in the comment section.

Serani and Ding Dong - Skip to Ma Lu

Its funny, I am not a big fan of this tune, but many people are, and the dance is also hot right now. So here it is, another Serani tune that you need for your library. You can listen and watch below...

Big Tune!!! Serani - When It's Cold

Everyone know that Serani is dunnin de place right now. This song is on the School Bell Riddim, which is a Throwback/Pay Homage riddim. Another great tune on this riddim is the Gaza remake of the classic "Ting-a-Ling". These songs are a must for DJs. Tuff Tune, Tuff Riddim! Great chance for DJs to mash up the old and new.

Vybz Kartel - Gaza Ting a Ling

Aidonia - Mood For Love

This is a rare new tune that doesn't really belong to any riddim, but is still a really good song. DJs, I wouldn't recommend playing this in the middle of a session, but it could be a good warmup tune, and might catch on in the upcoming weeks.

Mavado - House Cleaning

Incase you didn't know: "It's against de law fe wash Panty!!!" Yes, this is one of the badman anthems of dancehall right now. If you are a DJ, you are required to have this tune. Full stop! This is on the Set Me Free Riddim, which is hype also...

Aidonia - Oh Oh Oh

Off the Fitness Riddim, this tune is a hit. The raw version is that exactly, RAW, but the clean version can rock a club too. The overall riddim has some other nice tunes.

Big Tune!! Merital - My Money (Ha Ha)

This song is on replay for me right now. It is one of the biggest tunes out. It is on the Go Go Club Riddim. Sometimes simple = genius, and this is an example of that. A must have for any DJ right now.

MIX CD - Selecta Renegade - Flames 6

The Flames series have been one the most consistently hype CD collection in dancehall music (Flames 4 being my favorite). Selecta Renegade is a master of remixing tunes (hip hop and reggae), while not overloading the CD with mixes. He is also one of the few who has appropriate culture tunes on his CDs. This iteration of "Flames" does not dissappoint. Another plus is that it is a radio edit, but you would never realize it because it is mixed so well. I rate it 9.5 out of 10.

Vybz Kartel - Virginity (Versatility)

This song, on the Beach Front Riddim, will also mash up any dancehall party. The raw version is a bit raunchy, but there is also a radio edit, called "Versatility". This song is quite addictive, but once again would not be appreciated if played for people who are not real dancehall fans.

Chino - Woman Pon Yuh Head

This tune is also a must have. It has a great message for the yutes in JA: stay focused and stop letting women derail your success. This might be a hit or miss in an American club, but its a great listen, and would mash up the place for a Jamaican Crowd!

Smooth Tune - Ding Dong ft Chevaughn - Holiday

This was one of the smoothest and hypest tunes for the summer. Though its a tad old now in Jamaica and South Florida, it will still rock a party and is a must for any DJ who plays dancehall music. Check it out below...
