Rihanna ft Demarco - Rudeboy (Million Dollar Remix)

I am not a huge fan of Rihanna, but Demarco makes this tune tuff. The remix beat is a bit more uptempo and has a higher bpm  (90 vs. 87 to be exact). Great addition for any DJ. Should get a great result.

This is not a new song, but it is now my jam for the week. I am never the one to give props to Soulja Boy, but this tune is hype...simple. Its been on the radio in some markets, but I am sure it will be country-wide in a couple weeks. DJs...this is a must.

I feel like the original version of this song didn't get as big as it should. With the addition of Jay-Z, it might actually gain some traction on the East Coast. Great beat, and both Snoop and Jay ride it well.

So this song has been out for months, but this is the original version, not the one on the radio (Bed Rock ft Lloyd). I like this more, maybe because I was exposed to it first. Either way, both version are good, you can choose your favorite.

This beat is ridiculous, point blank. The chorus is repetitive, but the beat makes up for it. Ofcourse, Fab is on point, as always. Will this make it to radio, don't know. Red Cafe has not really been on the radio, so we will see. (warning: couldn't find the clean version, so this is explicit)

Konshens - Bring Back the Reggae

This tune is exactly what alot of people are saying about dancehall reggae nowadays. "Nowadays de tune dem a sound like nursery rhyme". In this tune, Konshens pays homage to the greats, including the recent greats like Vybz Kartel and Movado, and talks about how he misses the 90s reggae. There are two versions to this song (dancehall and hip hop). DJs, nice warmup tune for now. It is yet to be determined if it will blow up.

MIX CD - Selecta Renegade - Flames 6

The Flames series have been one the most consistently hype CD collection in dancehall music (Flames 4 being my favorite). Selecta Renegade is a master of remixing tunes (hip hop and reggae), while not overloading the CD with mixes. He is also one of the few who has appropriate culture tunes on his CDs. This iteration of "Flames" does not dissappoint. Another plus is that it is a radio edit, but you would never realize it because it is mixed so well. I rate it 9.5 out of 10.
